The doctors and staff at this clinic aim to give you the highest level of skin cancer care. We have a range of services and procedures to keep your skin healthy.

  Preventive Advice

We provide preventive advice in order to help you avoid skin cancer.

We recommend avoiding the midday sun, using SPF 30 sunscreens, wearing protective long sleeved clothing and hats.

  Skin Check & Mole Imaging

We recommend a comprehensive skin examination, not just looking at a spot that may be of concern to you.

We have found that most melanoma patients were not aware of the lesion themselves at the time of diagnosis at the clinic. This is because some of the signs we recognize can only be seen on magnification or on comparison with previous mole images that have been recorded with our imaging equipment.

  Non-surgical Treatment

Some early skin cancers may be able to be treated without surgery. These treatments may be a cream (Aldara, Efudix) or a combination of cream and light therapy (Allmedic, MetVix Photodynamic Therapy). These treatments give excellent cosmetic results but the cost cannot be bulk-billed.

Unfortunately, melanoma always requires surgery.

  Surgical Treatment

We provide the full range of surgical treatment that can be performed under local anaesthetic. These include, biopsies for diagnosis, simple removal of skin cancers, skin flaps and skin grafts.

For patients with very advanced lesions or who are not suitable for outpatient treatment, we will refer to an appropriate specialist. You are of course free to request referral to and treatment by another practitioner.

  Sun Damage Repair

Chronic inflammation of sun-damaged skin can promote the formation of new skin cancers. We provide advice on skin care that can help prevent future skin cancers.

We stock products that can help repair damage to your skin.

  Fees

Bulk Billing of Doctor's Fees:

• For all age pensioners with a valid Medicare Card and holders of a valid DVA Card - for Medicare eligible consultations.
• For all holders of valid Medicare or DVA cards for Medicare eligible procedures.
• For all holders of valid Medicare or DVA cards for follow-up appointments in an course of treatment.

Private Fees:

• For all other consultations and procedures
• For Clinic Procedure Fees (DVA Card-holders exempt)
• Payment at time of appointment
• Cash, EFTPOS, Mastercard, Visa only
